On Sunday, September 11, 2011, at 5pm in front of the Macomb County Court Building, 40 N. Main St, we are having a remembrance of our Macomb County Fallen Heroes. The New Haven Fire Department is bringing a piece from the World Trade Center. Along with this, Sterling Heights Fire Fighter Henry Yanez is donating candles and a Harrison Township Fire Fighters Pension Fund Trustee is lighting the first flame with a match he obtained from the 107th floor of Tower 100 a few days prior to it coming down, to begin a vigil for everyone to participate in as we pay respect to those who lost their lives trying to save others on that September day ten years ago.
